Live premiere at Athens & Epidaurus Festival

On Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 June at 9 pm, Lamenta, the newest creation by Rosalba Torres Guerrero and Koen Augustijnen will have it’s live premiere at Athens and Epidaurus Festival! Together with Greek dancers and inspired by Miroloi, they explored how traditional Greek music and dance can nourish a contemporary creation. The Greek dancers create a micro-community to experience the remanence of cultural legacies. They move as one body. They keep paying attention to each other in order to really feel all the emotions created on stage collectively. This way they create a new ritual to collectively mourn feelings of loss.
