BALL MODERNE — In Party Animal, Damion BG Dancerz, Craig Black Eagle and Cecilia Bengolea invite you to plunge into their latest choreographies and dancehall steps. Join this party performance, on beats of DJ Master Will, and get yourself and your moves on the dancefloor.
Dancehall is much more than a subgenre of the 70s Jamaican reggae. It’s a spiritual culture, a music genre, a street dance community and (maybe this most of all) a lifestyle. After five years of collaboration between Damion BG Dancerz, Craig Black Eagle and Cecilia Bengolea, they would like to invite you to their first Party, wrapped up in a participatory performance.
Party Animal is a song by the Jamaican artist Charly Black, about a girl that really likes clubbing and partying. In Jamaica it seems like everyone is in this kind of partymood, and as a dancer it is almost inevitable to not join this vibe. Once invited by local dancers to contribute to their Monday to Monday infinite rave street parties, you get easily caught by the pulsing beats.
The vibration of the sound systems, the song lyrics and the rhythms: they all create a unity between the dancers, which creates a universal language. And although the dancehall steps are originally created in Jamaica, all dancers welcome foreigners to join the dance and let them co-create their own moves.
In this Party Animal performance Damion BG Dancerz, Craig Black Eagle and Cecilia Bengolea would like to invite you to see their latest choreographies and steps and also to join to dance with them and with DJ Master Will.
