ABOUT
New York, early 1960s. Postmodern dance and the voguing dance style are both looking for 'real' movement. Trajal Harrell has been obsessed with the question of what would have happened if the two had actually come together. This has resulted in a series of performances, that comes in 7 sizes.

This dance and visual arts production, in which serpentine dancer Loïe Fuller meets Butoh founder Tatsumi Hijikata, takes place on two sides of a sculptural wall. At the intersection of a contemporary hoochie koochie show, fashion show and dance laboratory, stage and catwalk.
